Yvette Rotundo ..principal of Art Gecko Design...has over 21 years of design expertise. The creative engine behind the company, she manages the concept, design and layout for a variety of companies ranging from industrial to healthcare. Over the years she has developed a reputation for being an effective and on-target Art Director.

Unlike most graphic designers, her career did not begin in art school, but rather with a BS degree in Wildlife Biology. Yvette is neither schooled nor tainted in the "proper ways of design." Her talents are instinctive and intuitive. True to her unconventional ways, Yvette followed a path less traveled.

Art and animals have always been her passion. Guided by her practical side, Yvette went to Juniata College to study Wildlife Biology, but eventually her desire to be creative took over. Through independent course work Yvette discovered the perfect combination of biology and art --- the field of natural science/ medical illustration where she studied both anatomy and illustration.

Following a peaceful, "Thoreau" sort of job at a wildlife rehabiltitation center, where she worked as a teacher naturalist & staff artist, Yvette landed her first job at a local advertising agency. From there her career path was established.

With art and design as her profession, Yvette's love for animals is apparent through her myriad of household & barnyard animals that she cares for on her small farm. Looking back on her very rewarding career path, Yvette would never change a thing. "I have found happiness by not compromising my passion or true talent."
